Prof. Dr. N. Krishnamoorthy

Trainer

He is currently Consultant in Safety, Structures and Computer Applications in Singapore. He is an Approved Consultant of the Singapore Ministry of Manpower, for whom he has carried out assignments. He has more than five and half decades of teaching, research, and consultancy experience, including short courses and talks for practicing engineers, in U.S.A., Singapore, and India. He has also held senior positions in the National University of Singapore (NUS), and Mysore University in India. Professor Krishnamurthy has written over ninety papers, and three books including "Introduction to Risk Management", and contributed to other books and compilations. In recent years Professor Krishnamurthy has been focusing on lecturing, writing, and consulting on safety-related topics in Singapore and overseas.

Er Wong Wai Yin

Trainer

Er Wong Wai Yin B.Eng, P.Eng (Civil), has over 33 years of working experience in the Singapore construction industry. He has undertaken both technical and managerial roles in various organizations, which include a structural design consultant office and precast concrete design & manufacturing specialist firms. He was involved in the design of numerous building projects in multi-storey and high-rise commercial, residential and industrial development. Er Wong has consultancy partnership to offer services in precast concrete construction design, alternative design for value engineering in construction, precast production supervision and manufacturing facilities operation & setting up. He is currently the Managing Partner of the firm with project works in Singapore, Malaysia, India and Thailand.

Dr Lai Hoke Sai

Trainer

Dr Lai Hoke Sai is a registered professional engineer and has more than 20 years of experience in the design, supervision and management of many commercial, institutional, residential and industrial building projects including precast concrete structures. He was the principal author of the Structural Precast Concrete Handbook which was published by the Building Control Authority of Singapore in 2001. Since 2001, Dr Lai has been actively involved in conducting workshops, lectures and design courses in precast concrete design for the Building Control Authority of Singapore for practicing professionals.

Dr M. Basheer Khan

Trainer

He obtained his Ph.D in Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He has two decades of experience on multi-faceted roles as consultant, contractor and employer which included engineering consultancy, construction, project management, contract administration, management consultancy and finance. He is included in the Board of Consultants at The New Consultancy, which is an UK based firm. He is also a member of the Singapore Business Council in the United Arab Emirates. He is a qualified Lead Auditor for Quality Management System and is qualified in Risk Based Auditing of management systems. He has worked in the Middle East, Singapore and India.

Mr Lim Kia Wee

Trainer

He is the Managing Director and Principal of TERS Engineering Services Pte Ltd and TERS Consultant respectively. He has held senior positions in consultancies and contractors, the scope of working from design to project management. He worked in various capacities as Senior Geotechnical engineer, Project/ Design engineer, now Managing Director with hands and capabilities. His main scope of work is detailed finite element computer programme, such as Saga Crisp.

He is also a Hulme Award winner for Tunneling and Underground Society of Singapore for his contribution on the comparison of various commercial software for excavation analysis.

Chai Tze Gian, Paul

Trainer

He is the Director of Revelation System Pte Ltd which was incorporated in 2016, providing Workplace Safety, Health and Environmental consultancy services. After obtaining his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering in 1994 from National University of Singapore, he started his career in the building construction industry as a Project Engineer and progressed to Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Project Director.

He had held the position of Management Representative (MR) of a company, ensuring that the processes needed for the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Management System (QSHEMS) is established, implemented and maintained. Recognizing that Workplace Safety, Health and Environment concerns are closely related to the building and construction activities, he began to seek competency in safety, health and environmental aspects in 2007. Currently, he is a MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Auditor (WSHA), MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO), SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM), NEA registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO), Confined Space Safety Assessor (CSSA). Over the past 20 over years, he has accumulated invaluable experience and expertise on QSHE in a variety of building projects which includes residential, commercial, industrial and institutional.

Dr. Sudhakar A. Kulkarni

Trainer

Over the past 25 years’ of design, design management, project management and teaching/research experience, he has undertaken projects in Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) structures, Cut & Cover tunnels, Industrial projects, Institutional Buildings, and Medium-rise buildings. He is currently working as a Civil/Structural engineering consultant for projects in Singapore. Recently, he managed the design works and construction support for Blast Resistant Design / Mitigation projects and Pharmaceutical plant projects in Singapore. His involvement in MRT projects include detailed design of NEL siding extension at Harbour Front Station, Circle Line CCL4&5, Tuas Extension MRTs, DTL Tan Kah Kee station, and Chennai-Metro MRT, India.

As a Research Scholar /Research Fellow at IIT Bombay /NTU, Singapore and faculty in Pune University he has contributed to several research areas (Finite element method, hybrid connections, smart structures, vibration control, etc.) and conducted courses such as Design of Steel/ Reinforced Concrete structures, Matrix method of Structural analysis, Nonlinear Analysis of Structures, etc. He has authored many technical publications in international journals and conferences, and has also rendered services as a peer reviewer international journal papers including ASCE Structural Engineering, Smart Materials and Structures, Engineering Structures, etc.

Mr C. Kirubakaran

Trainer

He is Principal Consultant in R STAR CONSULTANTS PTE LTD and is involved in Consultancy,Project Management and Training in the construction industry.
